In 2024, remittances from Nigerians abroad soared to an all-time high of $20.93 billion, marking a five-year peak. This inflow continues despite naira depreciation, underscoring the diaspora’s enduring financial and emotional connection to home.
Meanwhile, remittances in early 2025 remain steady, with $125.6 million received in January and $54.4 million in February.
