Join us for a significant event celebrating Black Philanthropy Month (BPM), moderated by Almaz Negash, CEO of African Diaspora Network and BPM’s Africa Chair. This event brings together key leaders, including Thelma Ekiyor, Chairperson of the Nigeria Office for Philanthropy & Impact Investing (NPO); Kady Sylla, Director, Africa, Myriad USA; and Dana Francois, Program Officer for Haiti at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

 

Focusing on the African diaspora’s crucial role in global philanthropy, this event will explore the future of Black giving and community finance. Attendees will gain insights from transformative case studies and learn about emerging trends in digital philanthropy and collective giving models. The event will also highlight pioneering platforms like the i-philanthropy forum, offering practical advice on maximizing philanthropic impact.

 

As part of BPM 2024’s emphasis on Afro-futurism, this gathering will delve into how the global African diaspora contributes to Africa’s sustainable development. By spotlighting diverse forms of diaspora finance, the event aims to inspire innovative strategies that unlock the full potential of Black philanthropy.
